ABOUT THRIVEAID (TAHDI-NIGERIA)
OUR STORY
THRIVEAID originated as Fatan Alheri Humanitarian and Development Initiative, In June, 6, 2022, but wasn’t registered until 6 June, 2026 as ThriveAid Humanitarian and Development Initiative, TAHDI-NIGERIA, founded in response to escalating humanitarian challenges affecting vulnerable communities in Northeast Nigeria.
Years of insecurity, displacement, poverty, malnutrition, disease outbreaks, environmental degradation, and limited access to essential services made clear the need for sustained, community-driven humanitarian action.
To broaden its scope, strengthen institutional capacity, and position itself for wider impact, the organization evolved into THRIVEAID Humanitarian & Development Initiative, also known as (TAHDI-NIGERIA). This transformation reflects a renewed commitment to helping communities move beyond survival toward resilience, self-reliance, and sustainable development.

Mission
To save lives, reduce vulnerability and promote sustainable development by delivering accountable, inclusive and evidence-based humanitarian and development interventions in partnership with communities, government, donors and other stakeholders.

Education
Improve equitable access to safe, inclusive and quality education for crisis-affected children and adolescents.
Nutrition & Health
Reduce preventable illness, malnutrition and mortality among children, women and other vulnerable populations while strengthening community and primary healthcare systems.
Wash
Improve sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene services for IDPs, returnees and host communities
Protection & Safeguarding
Strengthen the protection, safety, dignity and rights of vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, persons with disabilities and other at-risk groups.
Peace building
Strengthen peaceful coexistence, trust, community dialogue and conflict prevention among IDPs, returnees and host communities.
